Metamorphis of a  2 story box…

Although I did this project in late 80's, it still has alot to say as a project and concept.  This was mainly a 2-story, 12 room box that my clients only lived in a small portion of.  It had great views to the ocean from the summit.  So I opened up the plan, removed walls and rooms,  creating a flowing interior space through a procession of levels to the lower living room.  A large steel moment frame was installed in the large vista windows for seismic stability. The master suite with walk-in closets was created with a glass block master shower that cantilvered outside the structure..  Pretty fun..
